On this episode of The Mental Society, I am joined by Susan Omilian.
Susan Omilian is an attorney, award-winning author, motivational speaker, and nationally recognized expert who has advocated to end violence against women for the past forty years.
After her nineteen-year-old niece Maggie was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend, Susan’s work became more personal.
Susan and I discuss domestic violence, how it is experienced, what keeps people from leaving, and how those who have been abused can move from victim to survivor and become thrivers.
